Three ways to practise
| Method | What you need | What it teaches |
|---|---|---|
| Physical cards | A deck without jokers | Dealing, category recognition and comparisons |
| Browser examples | This site’s hand-ranking page | Six basic categories with immediate explanations |
| Written hands | Paper and a pen | Tie-breaking and clear rule descriptions |
The browser exercise runs locally after its page and assets have loaded. This is not a claim that an unidentified Teen Patti Master app supports offline play. The site does not use a service worker or promise an installable offline app.
A 10-minute learning session
- Minutes 1–2: read the six categories in order. Say the defining pattern in your own words.
- Minutes 3–5: use the browser exercise. Explain why each hand fits its category before selecting an answer.
- Minutes 6–8: write two pairs with the same paired rank. Change only the odd card and compare the result.
- Minutes 9–10: agree an ace-sequence convention and review one example that caused confusion. Stop at the end of the planned session.
This sequence teaches recognition and explanation rather than speed. If you make a mistake, name the missing condition: consecutive ranks, equal ranks or matching suits.
Two examples to discuss
Example one: 5♥ 6♥ 7♥ has both matching suits and consecutive ranks. Choose pure sequence rather than colour because the higher qualifying category applies. Change 6♥ to Q♥ and it becomes a colour.
Example two: J♣ J♦ 3♠ and 10♥ 10♣ A♦ both contain pairs. The jacks outrank the tens before you compare the odd cards. The ace cannot raise the pair of tens above the pair of jacks.
Keep practice separate from money
Counters should have no purchase price, resale value, cash conversion or prize. Do not turn a learning exercise into a deposit challenge. An app’s “free” label is not enough if other parts introduce financial stakes.
For a break, put the cards away or close the tab. There is no daily streak, login incentive or urgency message on this site. You can return to the same fixed examples whenever they are useful.
